Kristina Sprehe & Desperados Victorious at Meggle Grand Prix at Dortmund CDI4*

DORTMUND, Germany, Mar. 8–Kristina Sprehe and Desperados FRH won the Meggle Grand Prix at the Dortmund CDI4* Friday, a year since posting their biggest victory as the Meggle Champion and that led to becoming members of the German team that won the silver medal at last summer’s Olympic Games.

Kristina and the 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion (De Niro x Wie Musik x Wolkenstein II) scored 78.489 per cent in what was their 14th start since their last victory, at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany last July.

The pair started more relaxed, she said, than is usual on the first day of an event and led a sweep of the top four placings by German combinations.

Fellow Olympian Anabel Balkenhol and Dablino were second on 74.957 per centwith Nadine Capellmann and Girasol third on 72.213 per cent.
