LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Jan. 24–Dressage at Devon was one of three new horse shows named as an United States Equestrian Federation Heritage Competitions along with the Roanoke Valley Horse Show and the Norfolk Hunt Horse Show.
The designation of a USEF Heritage Competition is for competitions that have been in existence for a quarter-century or more, promoted and grown equestrian sport and made contributions to the community outside the gates of the horse show by achieving, maintaining, and promoting the equestrian ideals of sportsmanship and competition.
Dressage at Devon was inaugurated in 1975 and now includes the largest horse-breed show in North America.
The newly entitled shows join 14 existing Heritage Competitions.
