AMSTERDAM, JAN. 18– Defending double World Cup titleholder Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival captured the World Cup Grand Prix Friday with a score of 82.191 per cent, only the third time the world’s No. 2 combination has surpassed the 82 per cent level.
Germany’s Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill NRW was second on 81.660 per cent. Edward Gall and Glock’s Romanov were third on 74.894 per cent.
The No. 2 combination in the world are working to improve on their already high scores as they do not need to compete in World Cup events because they have fulfilled the requirements to defend the title at the Final in Gothenburg, Sweden in April.
Adelinde and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding (Jazz x Fidora x Ulft) beat Helen and Damon Hill last April to capture their second straight World Cup title.
