SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 6–Victoria Max-Theurer made the home town crowd happy Thursday when she rode Blind Date to victory in the Grand Prix at the Amadeus Pappas Horse Indoors, posting their best score so far for the Grand Prix.
Austria’s top dressage star and No. 9 in the world with her London summer Olympic mount Augustin scored 74.277 per cent with Blind Date, a 10-year-old Hanoverian mare (Breitling W x Donnice x Donnerhall) in Vici’s first appearance at Salzburg in five years. She has been competing Blind Date for only five months and Salzburg was their fourth CDI.
German Olympic team silver medal rider Dorothee Schneider rode the 14-year-old Trakehner stallion Kaiser TSF to second place on 69,872 per cent with Switzerland’s Marcela Krinke-Susmelj and Smeyer’s Molberg third on 69,340 per cent.
U.S. riders Dennis Callin on D’accord placed sixth on 66.000 per cent and Susan Dutta on Currency DC was10th on 62.170 per cent.
