STOCKHOLM, Dec. 1–Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfvén, Sweden’s most experienced Olympian, rode Don Auriello to victory in the Stockholm International Horse Show World Cup Grand Prix Saturday with a personal best score of 79.553 per cent.

Tinne and the Hanoverian gelding (Don Davidoff x Wey o mey x White Star) who is one month away from his 11h birthday and that she began competing at Grand Prix in Florida less than two years ago was placed first by all five judges, but Great Britain’s Stephen Clarke was the only one to place the pair above 80 per cent with a whopping 84.574 per cent.

The previous Grand Prix high for the pair was 75.830 per cent in the Nations Cup at Rotterdam, the Netherlands, earlier this year.

German Olympian Kristina Sprehe and her Desperados were second on 76.447 per cent, fractionally ahead of Denmark’s Anna Kasprzak and Donnperignon on 76.426 per cent.

The result for Anna and the 13-year-old Finnish Warmblood gelding (Donnerhall x Montserrat x Mozart 1179) was also a personal best, their previous high of 76.213 per cent coming just a month ago at the Odense, Denmark, World Cup event. Anna, just 23 years old, has been competing Donnperignon for just nine months and was the highest placed Danish combination, 12th, at the London Games.

Stockholm is the fourth of eight Western European League World Cup qualifiers and the Freestyle Sunday will determine points for the standings leading to the Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, next April.
