SYDNEY, Oct. 26–Maree Tomkinson rode her Diamantina IV to win the Austraian Dressage Championship World Cup Grand Prix Friday, the fourth victory for the pair in their first year at Grand Prix.
Maree and the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare (Diamond Hit x Cosmopolitan x Campari M) scored 67.30 per cent, with awards ranging from a high of 70.11 per cent from Joanne Fowler of Australia to a low of 64.47 per cent from Anne Gribbons of the United States.
Sheridyn Ashwood and Prestige VDL placed second on 67.02 per cent with David Shoobridge on OO Seven in third on 66.79 per cent.
The Freestyle will be held Saturday, with scores counting toward qualifying for the Pacific League Final that will determine the combination to be offered a start at the World Cup Final in Gotheburg, Sweden next April.
