DONAUESCHINGEN, Germany, Sept. 16–German Olympic combination Anabel Balkenhol and Dablino won the Grand Prix Special Sunday for a sweep of the Donaueschingen CDI4* which recorded a record of 47,000 spectators at the 56th S.d. Prince Joachim of Fürstenberg Memorial Tournament.
In their fourth competition of the year including the London Games, Anabel and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding (De Niro x Wanda x Wanderbursch II) scored 77.489 per cent with fellow German’s Nadine Capellmann and Girasol second on 74.644 per cent and Dorothee Schneider and Forward Looking third on 71.822 per cent.
Anabel and Dablino, who competed in London as an individual combination, won the Grand Prix Saturday wth a personal best score of 78.191 per cent.
