World dressage rankings saw some of the biggest changes in several months ahead of the Olympic Games in London with two riders and horses making it into the top 10 for the first time, according to the International Equestrian Federation tabulation to the end of July.
The Netherlands’ Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival remained atop the standings while Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro who won two gold medals after the rankings moved to second place from fourth.
Kristina Sprehe, the 26-year-old rider of Desperados who was on the German team, moved up to fifth place from 11th and Victoria Max-Theurer and Augustin OLD who rode as an individual for Austria was elevated to eighth place from the No. 12 spot.
Denmark’s Anna Kasprzak and Donnperignon made the biggest advance, however, going to 17th place from 102nd with Donnperignon.
