LINGEN, Germany, June 8–Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris, the top ranked British combination and third in the world, won the Grand Prix at the Dressurfestival CDI4* in their third show of the year as they gear up for the London Olymic Games.

Laura and the 17-year-old Danish warmblood gelding (Michellino x Virginia x Ibsen) scored 78.383 per cent with Sweden’s Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén and Don Auriello second on 73.766 per cent and Germany’s Fabienne Lütkemeier and D’Agostino third on 72.255 per cent.

Laura and Alf, as she calls Mistral Hojris, have been competing at Grand Prix since 2007 and their record includes the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky where they won one team and two individual silver medals, and the 2007, 2009 and 2011 European Championships where they won team gold at the Rotterdam Europeans last year.
