LEXINGTON, Kentucky, April 17–Fifty safety helmets valued at $10,000 and donated by the manufacturers are being given away to celebrate the second anniversary of Riders4Helmets.com.
The helmet giveaway along with a prize of the latest iPad comes as international horse sports head toward requirement for safety headwear two years after the accident to U.S. dressage star Courtney King-Dye that left her in a coma for a month and is still in rehabilitation.
“In recognition of our two-year anniversary we wanted to do something really special to thank the many equestrians who have supported the riders4helmets campaign,” said Lyndsey White, Riders4Helmets founder.
“The campaign has grown bigger than we ever could have imagined, and we are proud to know that it has made a difference in the lives of many people around the globe.”
Equestrian can register for the giveaway by visiting www.riders4helmets.com/register-for-giveaway/. Registration closes midnight (US Eastern Time) Sunday May 6. Visitors to the Rolex Kentucky 3DE (April 26-April 29) can visit the Riders4Helmets area to register for the giveaway.
The helmet giveaway is sponsored by: GPA, Samshield, Troxel, Charles Owen, International Riding Supply (IRH), Tipperary, Ovation, Pegasus and One K.
