STADL PAURA, Austria, April 8–Victoria Max-Theurer won everything available Sunday on the traditional Easter weekend Stadl Paura CDI3*–aboard Augustin OLD in the Olympic Grand Prix Special, on Eichendorff for the Grand Prix for the Freestyle and, for for good measure, the Prix St.Georges on Della Cavalleria OLD.
As she gears up for her third straight Olympics, the Austrian rider and Augustin OLD, a 12-year-old Oldenburg stallion (August der Starke x Weinrubina x Rohdiamant) that is her top horse, scored 76.31 per cent. The pair won the Grand Prix Saturday.
Denmark’s Johansen Sidsel and Schianto placed second on 71.40 per cent while Swiss veteran Krinke Susmelj Marcela and Smeyers Molberg were third on 70.42 per cent
In the Grand Prix for the Freestyle, Victoria and Eichendorff were first on 70.85 per cent with Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and Silvano 71 second on 70.60 per cent and The Netherlands’ Marlies Van Baalen and BMC Miciano third on 67.47 per cent.
The Australian cousins Lyndal and Kristy Oatley, both of whom are based in Germany, competed head to head in the Grand Prix.
Lyndal and Sandro Boy 9 placed sixth on 67.064 per cent with Kristy and Ronan in eighth place on 66.574 per cent.
Earlier Sunday, Victoria and Della Cavalleria OLD won the Prix St. Georges with 73.658 per cent. Denmark’s Christine Skarsoe Fie and One Night Stand were second on 70.316 per cent and Austria’s Christian Schumach on Auheim’s Rhaposario third on 68.842 per cent.
