WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, Mar. 9–Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén rode Don Auriello and Favourit in their final competition of the Swede’s 2012 Florida winter circuit to claim first and second places in the World Cup Grand Prix Friday, bringing to eight her string of victories in the past two months.

Tinne and Don Auriello (Don Davidoff x Wey o mey x White Star) scored 74.574 per cent, that has become her top horse since she began competing the 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding at Grand Prix a year ago on the Florida circuit. She plans to take the horse to the World Cup Final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, April 18-22.

On Favourit, a 13-year-old Rhinelander gelding (Fidermark x Wapita x Worldchamp), she scored 70.979 per cent for second place with the United States’ Shawna Harding and Come On III in third place on 69.319 per cent. Canada’s Ashley Holzer on Pop Art, her 2008 Olympic and 2010 World Equestrian Games mount, was fourth on 69.191 per cent.

Tinne moves Don Auriello on to the Olympic Grand Prix Special and Favourit to the Freestyle.

This is the last 2012 competition in Florida for Tinne and the horses who said she is scheduled to return home next week to give Don Auriello time to re-acclimate in preparation for the World Cup Final.
