The U.S. Equestrian Federation is calling for help for victims of the tornadoes that have battered the southeast United States.

Donations can be made to the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund at https://www.usef.org/_AUAIFrames/DisasterRelief/DisasterRelief.aspx or by mailing checks to the United States Equestrian Federation, 4047 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky 40511.

“These recent storms have struck the heart of horse country and have made the cost of relocating, feeding, and caring for horses overwhelming,” the USEF said in a statement. “With your help we can do our part to make sure horses are not overlooked, forgotten, or abandoned and help to relieve the burden of effected horse owners and caretakers in this and in future times of crisis.”

The USEF said that all donations go to help, nothing is withheld for admnistration or other purposes.

The fund was originally created after Hurricanes Rita and Katrina.
