STONELEIGH PARK, England, Sept. 18–Laura Bechtolsheimer on Andretti H captured the British Grand Prix Freestyle Championship Sunday while Michael Eilberg claimed the Potential International Supreme Champion title with the spectacular five-year-old Woodlander Farouche.
Laura and the 16-year-old gelding scored 76.80 per cent while Michael on Marakov was reserve champion scoring 75.25 per cent his sister, Maria, on Two Sox, her 2010 World Equestrian Games mount now aged 17, was third on 73.45 per cent.
Michael and Woodlander Farouche, who became the first British combination to win the 5-year-old world championship at Verden, Germany, last month, also took the five-year-old championship. Maria on Woodlander Wavavoom was second in the championship.
