STONELEIGH PARK, England, Sept. 17–Laura Bechtolsheimer and Andretti H won the British Championships Grand Prix Saturday over Michael Eilberg who, with his sister Maria, has dominated much of this national competition.

Laura, the leading British rider in recent years, piloted the 16-year-old gelding to a score of 70.94 per cent with Michael and Marakov second on 70.26 per cent and Gareth Hughes and DV Stenkjers Nadonna third on 69.79 per cent. Maria Eilberg and her 2010 World Equestrian Games ride Two Sox, now aged 17, were fourth with 68.89 per cent.

In the 5-year-old Potential International Horse class, Michael and Woodlander Farouche were, as expected the clear winner at 9.82 with Maria and Woodlander Wavavoom second on 8.06. Michael and Farouche captured the first ever title for Britain when they won the 5-year-old world championship at Verden, Germany, last month.
