BRNO, Czech Republic, June 19–Hungary’s Robert Acs and Weinzauber 2 posted a personal best score to capture the Brno World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday.

Robert and his 14-year-old Westphalen gelding, who competed in the World Cup Final at Leipzig, Germany, two months ago, scored 72.550 per cent with France’s Sebastien Duperdu and Passe Partout second on 71.025 and Belgium’s Peter Spahn on Fryso Huys Cas third on 70.500 per cent. Peter Spahn and the Friesen stallion won the Grand Prix Saturday with a score of 67.149 per cent with Robert and Weinzauber second on 66.447 per cent Austria’s Ulrike Prunthaller on Bartlgut’s da Pari third on 66.298 per cent.

Brno was the third of eight qualifiers in the World Cup Central European League.

The previous best score for Robert and Weinzauber was 72.200 per cent at Kaposvar, Hungary, last October.
