DE STEEG, The Netherlands, July 12–Hans Peter Minderhoud and I.P.S. Tango became the Dutch National Champion after the pair’s score stayed close enough to Edward Gal and Sisther de Jeu who won the freestyle Sunday night.
Edward and Sisther de Jeu won the freestyle with a score of 78.800 per cent for a total of 226.463 combining the Grand Prix, Special and freestyle scores.
Hans Peter and Tango, who had gone into the lead with a convincing win in the Special, scored 78.725 per cent in the freestyle for 227.572, enough to claim the national title.
Marlies van Baalen on BMC Phoebe was third in the freestyle with 74.925 per cent that also gave them third place in the championships with 216.912.
