Hans Peter Minderhoud & Tango Win Grand Prix Special at Dutch Championships

DE STEEG, The Netherlands, June 11–Hans Peter Minderhoud and I.P.S. Tango were the clear victors in the Grand Prix Special Saturday to take over the lead in the Dutch Championships from Edward Gal and his two mounts at Outdoor Gelderland.

Hans Peter and the 11-year-old KWPN stallion by Jazz scored 76.187 per cent while Edward and Sisther de Jeu were second on 73.854 per cent and was third on Interfloor Next One with 72.166 per cent.

Edward filled the top two places and Hans Peter was third in the Grand Prix.

With the freestyle scheduled for Sunday night as the final of three competitions that count toward the national title, Hans Peter and Tango were at 148.847, Edward and Sisther de Jeu on 147.663 and on Next One 144.954.

Madeleine Witte and Blom’s Vontango won the small tour title for a total of 226.520 of combined scores from the Prix. St. Georges, Intermediaire I and Intermediaire Freestyle. Hans Peter Minderhoud and Johnson were second on 218.461 and Joyce Heuitink and Wup were third with 216.965.
