STADL-PAURA, Austria, April 21–Germany and The Netherlands dominated team Pony, Junior and Young Riders on the first day Thursday of the traditional Easter CDI3 * in Stadl-Paura. Lena Walterscheidt and Louisa Lüttgen of Germany and Antoinette De Riele the Netherlands were winners.

In the FEI Team Competition Test, 32 combinations from eight countries started. Germany’s Lena Walterscheidt on Lord Equestricons Champion won with a score 72.36 per cent with Sophie Kampmann on her Welsh pony Den Ostriker Dailan second on 70.56 per cent and Denmark’s Caroline Smidt Bording on PSW Desperado third on 69.68 per cent.

Former Pony European Champion and four-time Dutch champion Antoinette De Riele, 17, on Fleurie won the Junior Tour with 72.43 per cent. Germany’s Katalin Garm and the nine-year-old Hanoverian mare Debbie 46 were second on 71.98 per cent with Vivien Niemann of Germany’s on Cipollini 3 and Sweden’s Marina Mattsson on Beckham tied for third on 69.10 per cent.

Louisa Lüttgen, who celebrated her 20th birthday last Saturday and has been undefeated with the German team since 2005, rode Habitus 10 to the Young Rider victory with a score of 71.32 per cent while her compatriot Annabel Frenzen, the reigning German vice-champion, on Cristobal 14 was second on 69.04 per cent and Angela Krooswijk of The Netherlands on Revino 2 was third on 68.73 per cent.
