ROTTERDAM, Mar. 4–Tickets have sold so well for the Grand Prix Freestyle at the European Dressage Championships that only 500 remain with six months still to go for the event in Rotterdam Aug. 17-21.
Organizers said they were “overwhelmed” by the response for the Sunday, Aug. 21, Freestyle in the stadium that normally seats 3,000 spectators in addition to VIP seats, loges and hospitality areas.
Online sales of tickets began just one month ago. At this stage, only 500 tickets remain for the Freestyle on the final day. Tickets for the other days are also selling well.
“We hoped, of course, that through our online sales system many tickets would be sold in advance,” said Frans Lavooij, chairman of the CHIO Rotterdam, co-organizer of the championships. “But I didn’t expect it would happen so fast . This clearly shows the momentum for the dresssage sports!”
Tickets are available for single days and evenings as well as combinations and even passes for spectators wanting to attend the whole event.
