SAN DIEGO, California, Dec. 15–Steffen Peters got a tray of a dozen bronze “medals from Ravel’s owner Akiko Yamazaki as a Christmas gift.
Steffen rode Ravel to win two bronze medals at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, the best result ever by an American in a world championship.
On Wednesday, Akiko gave Steffen his Christmas present–a tray of a dozen cup cakes with bronze “medal” cookies.
Steffen will get to experience some real winter weather reminiscent of his native Germany when he flies off this weekend to conduct his regular clinic in Wellington, Florida where the temperature has been hovering around a very unseasonable freezing overnight.
