WERRIBEE, Australia, Dec. 10–Chantal Wigan rode Ferero in their first Pacific League World Cup Final after three years training and competing in Europe to win the Grand Prix Friday at the Saddleworld Dressage Festival.
Chantal and the 12-year-old KWPN gelding, in their second competition since returning home recently, were scored 64.553 per cent.
Rozzie Ryan on Jive Magic placed second on 63.660 per cent with Mary Hanna on Sancette third on 63.362 per cent.
The Grand Prix Freestyle will be held Saturday night to determine the Pacific League representative at the World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany, at the end of April.
