
SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 2–Peter Gmoser on his World Equestrian Games mount Cointreau gave the hometown fans something to warm their spirits on a bitterly cold Thursday night by winning the Grand Prix at the Pappas Amadeus Horse Indoors CDI4*.
The Austrian pair scored 68.170 per cent with Ireland’s Anna Merveldt on Coryolano on her WEG steed in second place on 67.489 per cent.
Germany’s Ulla Salzgeber was third on her mare Wakana, still showing serious resistance by rearing between the walk and passage that led to a strong of 2s and 3s from the five judges. that has been displayed for a score of 65.787 per cent. The pair had won this event in 2009.
