LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Nov. 9–Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival are No. 2 in the latest FEI world rankings, but the partnership of Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas is still in the top spot though the black stallion has been sold.
On the rankings with Edward and Totilas in No. 1, there are no changes from the previous month in the top six places with Adelinde and Parzival No. 2, Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris 3rd, USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel 4th, Germany’s Isabell Werth and Warum Nicht FRH 5th and Imke Schelleksn-Bartels and Hunter Douglas Sunrise 6th.
Isabell and her 2008 Olympic mount Satchmo moved up to 7th from 9th after a win at a World Cup qualifier while IPS Painted Black, sold three months ago to a Spanish rider, is still ranked 8th with Anky van Grunsven as the rider. Austria’s Victoria Max-Theurer on Augustin Old edged up to 9th while her previous 10th spot was taken by Spain’s Juan Manuel Muñoz Diaz on the crowd-pleasing Fuego XII, moving into the top 10 for the first time.
The biggest jump to the top 20 was by Germany’s Ulla Salzgeber and Herzruf’s Erbe to 16th place from 85.
The FEI advises that combinations are removed from the rankings after they are formally notified of a change in rider so that a horse would not appear on the rankings with different riders.
