GLADSTONE, New Jersey, Aug. 3–Fifteen horse and rider combinations from across America and Europe were confirmed by the U.S. Equestrian Federation on Tuesday as participating in the World Equestrian Games selection trials beginning this weekend.
The trials are being held over two weekends of the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions at this historic U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation headquarters near New York City. The final short list will be announced on Aug. 16. Steffen Peters of San Diego, California and Ravel, the leading U.S. combination, have been granted a bye so they do not have to compete in the selection trials

Todd Flettrich of Wellington, Florida and Otto;
Jan Ebeling of Moorpark, California and Sandrina;
Pierre St. Jacques of Anthony, Florida and Lucky Tiger;
