“Totilas is to compete at the CHIO Aachen,” said a news release from the organizers, describing the black stallion as “most famous horse in the world.”
Aachen is widely regarded as the premier horse show in the world with a permanent dressage stadium with seating for 5,000 spectators.

The USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel, who swept all three CDIO competitions at Aachen in 2009, will be in Aachen to support American competitors but is saving the gelding for the U.S. selection trials and the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.
“Almost all top national and international riders will be competing at the CHIO,” said Show Director Frank Kemperman.
