LAUSANNE, Switzerland, June 7–Only minor changes occurred in the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) rankings as of the end of May, but Germany’s Christoph Koschel on the rapidly developing Donnperignon jumped into 17th place from 24th in their first time in the top 20.
The Dutch dominance at the top was unchanged: Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas No. 1, Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival No. 2, Anky van Grunsven and Salinero No. 3 and with IPS Painted Black No. 8 and Imke Schellekens-Bartels and Hunter Douglas Sunrise No. 6.
Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris remained at No. 4 and USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel at No. 5, while Germany’s Isabell Werth and Warum Nicht FRH inched up one spot to No. 7 but dropped a place to No. 9 on Satchmo 78. Fellow German Matthias Alexander Rath on Sterntaler UNICEF rounded out the top 10, as he did the previous month.
