ALLENTOWN, New Jersey, May 30–Elisabeth Austin rode her home-bred stallion Olivier to win the Grand Prix Special at the ESDCTA Memorial Day Weekend CDI3* Sunday, after winning the Grand Prix two days earlier.

Elisabeth, 26, of Williston, Vermont, and Olivier scored 65.583 per cent in the Special, Nadine Schlonsok of Germany on Ikaros was second with 61.500 per cent and Hans Henning Dressler of Mexico on Valintino third with 58.667 per cent. Other scores in the class of five rides were Heather Mason of the U.S. on Respekt with 58.417 per cent and Lou Denizard of Puerto Rico on Nalando with 57.375 per cent.

In the Grand Prix on Friday, Elisabeth and Olivier were marked at 67.319 per cent with Canada’s Denielle Gallagher-LeGriffon on Gallaway’s Abrikos second on 65.617 per cent and Jayne Hannigan of Harvard, Massachusetts, on Maksymillian third on 64.805 per cent. Other scores included: Sharon McCusker on Juli Sherif 64.723 per cent for fourth place, Chris von Martels and Naomi on 63.106 per cent in fifth place and Hans Henning Dressler on Valintino 61.106 per cent for sixth.

Olivier, a 14-year-old KWPN stallion, was bred by Elisabeth’s mother, Madeleine Dammers Austin, and has been competed at international-level Grand Prix by Elisabeth for almost three years.
