LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Apr. 11–The Netherlands maintained dominance of the latest FEI world dressage rankings released Monday, and the USA’s Steffen Peters and Ravel and Great Britain’s Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris pushed Germany out of the top five placings.
Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas, 2010 World Cup champions, stood atop the leaderboard with 2,707 points, a 300-point lead over No. 2 Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival with Anky van Grunsven and Salinero filling the third spot for a sweep of the top places by the Dutch, the same placings as the previous month. Anky was also ranked 7th with IPS Painted Plack.
However, Steffen and Ravel moved up one place to fourth and Laura and Mistral Hojris rounded out the top five.
Germany’s Isabell Werth, who returned to competition at Christmas after a six-month break from competition, dropped two places to sixth on her Olympic mount Satchmo and remained in ninth place with Warum Nicht FRH.
The rankings reflect the results of the previous 12 months.
