RANCHO MURIETA, California, Apr. 10–Canada’s Wendy Christoff and Pfalstaff won the Grand Prix Special Saturday a day after repeating as the winners of the Rancho Murieta CDI3* Grand Prix.

Wendy of Delta, British Columbia, and the 16-year-old gelding scored 67.250 per cent in the Special and 67.064 per cent in the Grand Prix.

Tracey Hill and Aldente scored 65.292 per cent in the Special to finish second, after the Grand Prix mark of 61.191 per cent and third place in the Grand Prix. Fellow American Sandy Savage and Woccelli, who finished second on 63.617 per cent in the Grand Prix, posted a score of 63.667 per cent in the Special for third place.

The winning combination won this same Grand Prix in 2009 and is seeking to qualify for the Canadian squad that will go to Europe in preparation for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in September.
