ADDINGTON, England, Apr. 3–Great Britain’s Richard Davison rode Hiscox Artemis in his first international competition of 2010 to win the Grand Prix Freestyle at Addington CDI3* Saturday.
Richard and Artemis, who came second to compatriot Carl Hester and Dolendo in the Grand Prix, posted a score of 74.60 per cent with The Netherlands’ Christa Larrackers and Divoza Horseworld Ovation placing second on 73.75 per cent and Carl and Dolendo third with 73.70 per cent.
In the Grand Prix on Friday, Carl Hester and Dolendo scored 69.6596 per cent with Richard Davison on Artemis second on 67.6596 per cent and France’s Marc Noblet and Whitni Star third on 67.3617 per cent.
Liebling II, the 13-year-old gelding that Carl rode to team silver for Britain at the 2009 European Championships, was shown for the first time with his new rider, Canadian Cheryl Meisner, finishing 12th with 65.1915 per cent in the Grand Prix and 11th in the Freestyle with 67.15 per cent.
