LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Mar. 19–Led by Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas, Dutch riders fill the top three places and five of the top 10 in the latest International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Rankings.
Coming into the World Cup Final next week. Edward and Totilas maintained their top ranking with 2,687 points, 280 points ahead of second ranked Adelinde Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival with Anky van Grunsven on Salinero moving into the third spot for the period ending Feb. 28. Anky retained her seventh ranking on IPS Painted Black with Imke Schellekents-Bartels on Hunter Douglas Sunrise in eighth place.
Of the three placings for German combinations in the top 10, two were filled by Isabell Werth, in fourth place from the previous month’s third spot on Satchmo 78 and ninth again on Warum Nicht FRH. She was out of competition for six months, returning to the show ring last Christmas just two months after giving birth to her first child, a boy.
The USA’s Steffen Peters, like Anky, benefiting from victories at the Exquis World Dressage Masters in Palm Beach, moved up one place to fifth from sixth.
