RHEINBERG, Germany, Mar. 12–Australian Olympian Hayley Beresford is leaving Isabell Werth’s barn after four years to move to Switzerland with her husband.
Isabell reported on her Internet site that Hayley’s husband, Kian, was moving to a good job in Switzerland.
Hayley, who rode for Australia on the 2008 Olympic team at Hong Kong, will become the new trainer at the stable of Otto Hofer, who is retiring from active riding.
“We don’t know exactly yet when she’s going to start packing her suitcases,” Isabell said. “The only thing we do know is: We’re going to miss her. Fortunately, we’re not going to lose her entirely since she will visit us regularly and train her horses here.”
