CADIZ, SPAIN, Mar. 8–Great Britain’s Carl Hester rode the nine-year-old Uthopia to convincing victories in the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special at the Sunshine Tour’s CDI3*.
The pair scored 73.833 per cent in the Special on Monday to win over fellow Briton Maria Eilberg on Two Sox on 68.833 per cent and Germany’s Sylvia Zimmer on Priboy 5 on 68.000 per cent.
In the Grand Prix on Sunday, Carl and Uthopia scored 71.106 per cent, with Spain’s Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz and Fuego XII second on 68.936 per cent and Portugal’s Mafalda Galiza Mendez on D’Artagnan in third on 68.426 per cent.
Bad weather caused delays in the dressage.
