FRANKFURT, Germany, Dec. 20–Lotje Schoots and Torricelli of The Netherlands won the FEI Young Rider World Cup Final Sunday, having led the annual global championship from the first day.
The pair scored 77.150 per cent in the Grand Prix Freestyle with Germany’s Kirsten Sieber on Charly WRT placing second on 75.200 per cent and Portugal’s Mafalda Galiza Mendes on D’Artagnan third on 72.850 per cent.
The Dutch pair won team gold and individual silver in the European Championships earlier this year.
Thirteen combinations started the Final, 10 from Europe and one each from Canada, New Zealand and the United States.
The top seven moved into Sunday’s final.
