WELLINGTON, Florida, Dec. 14–Warming up for the 2010 Florida winter circuit, Arlene “Tuny” Page and Lisa Wilcox celebrated as the “high score girls” after a national show Sunday.
Tuny on Ice Cup, an eight-year-old Danish warmblood gelding, scored 76.063 per cent to win the Intermediaire 1 with Caroline Roffman on Accent Agu FRH second on 71.316 per cent and Olivia Andres LaGoy-Weltz and Rifallino third on 68.684 per cent.
Lisa, who is based at Tuny’s Stillpoint Farm in Wellington and celebrated at Tuny’s home later, won the Grand Prix Freestyle on the Lusitano stallion Queba HM with a score of 74.500 per cent with Colombia’s Marco Bernal on Halbgott in second place on 74.00 per cent.
The freestyle was compiled to music by Dvorak that was selected by Queba’s owner, Ingrid Lin, who returned to the hospital recently for more treatment for cancer.
Christopher Hickey on Douglas Hilltop won the Grand Prix Special with 73.542 per cent.
