WARENDORF, Germany, Dec. 8–The German Dressage and Jumping Championships will be held in Münster Aug. 26-29 to avoid a conflict with the soccer World Cup in South Africa.

The change from Balve June 11-13 next year was disclosed by a German Federation official.

It was not clear whether the move to Münster would make it one of the final competitions in the selection of the German team for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games to be held in Kentucky a month later.

However, the date change does remove one conflict, that with the CDI5* in Cannes, France, which was an Exquis World Dressage Masters competition in 2009.

The 2010 Dutch championships are scheduled for mid-June.
