LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Dec. 7–Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas, the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle world record holders, have moved to the top of the FEI World Individual Dressage Rankings for the first time.
Dutch team mate Adelinde Cornelissen and Parzival, who hold the world record score in the Grand Prix Special, dropped to second place after three months on top of the leaderboard, to push Germany’s Isabell Werth and Satchmo 78 to third place. Isabell recently gave birth to a baby boy, and has not competed since June.
Edward and Totilas garnered 2,527 points for the rankings to the end of November, while Adelinde and Parzival were on 2,235 points.
Six of the top 10 places were held by combinations from the Netherlands with Anky van Grunsven in fourth place on Salinero and in seventh place on IPS Painted Black, as they were the previous month.
Rankings that were unchanged from the previous month were Steffen Peters and Ravel of the USA (5), Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral Hojris of Great Britain (6), Matthias Alexander Rath and Sternthaler-Unicef of Germany (8) and Hans Peter Minderhoud and Exquis Nadine of The Netherlands (9).
Imke Schellekens-Bartels and Hunter Douglas Sunrise took over 10th place from Monica Theodorescu and Whisper of Germany.
