WELLINGTON, Florida, Nov. 13–Steffen Peters, champion of the 2009 World Cup and World Equestrian Festival CHIO at Aachen, Germany, with Ravel, has scheduled training clinics for the next seven months in Wellington, Florida.
With the first clinic scheduled for late November, Peters of San Diego, California, who was also the trainer center stage at the recent Global Dressage Forum, will coach several top riders at Carol Cohen’s Two Swans Farm in Wellington.
“This has been fantastic to create a schedule of monthly training sessions at the beautiful Two Swans Farm,” said Steffen, one of the most sought after clinicians for his ability to improve horses and riders with his keen eye and insightful comments delivered in a quiet demeanor.
“In this year when several riders will be looking to qualify for the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky this is a terrific opportunity to implement a program that best fits the needs of their horses and to see the progress each month.”
The schedule of clinics organized by Wellington-based Ilse Schwarz, an Australian trainer and competitor who has trained with Steffen for the past four years, is:
* Saturday & Sunday, Nov. 28-29;
* Friday & Saturday, Dec. 11-12, the same dates when Steffen will participate in the USET Foundation Fundraiser presented by Succeed and Wellington Classic Dressage;
* Saturday & Sunday, Jan. 30-31.
* Saturday & Sunday, Feb. 20-21;
* Saturday & Sunday, Mar. 27-28;
* Saturday & Sunday, April 10-11, and
* Saturday & Sunday, May 8-9.
Among the riders that Steffen will teach in seven sessions per day, are Katherine Bateson-Chandler, Lauren Sammis, Shannon Dueck, Betsy Steiner, Dr. Kristy Lund and John Zopatti as well as Carol Cohen and Ilse Schwarz.
Auditors are welcome for $50 per day or $80 for both days, which includes lunch.
