DEVON, Pennsylvania, Sept. 25–Denmark’s Ulla Petersen and Mikala Munter Gundersen on Friday extended their dominance of young horse classes by winning all three divisions at Dressage at Devon.

Later Friday, Danish Olympian Lars Petersen on Naomi won the Grand Prix for the Special.

Ulla, 31, who is now based in Trappe, Maryland where her horses owned by Nancy Holowesko are based, rode the gelding Sabati to win the four-year-old class on 80.400 per cent and the gelding Steinway to win the five-year-old class on 77.600 per cent. Both horses are by Sandro Hit.

Mikala, celebrating her 41st birthday a day early, rode the U.S.-bred Pikko Del Cerro HU owned by Horses Unlimited of Albuquerque, New Mexico to victory in the six-year-old class on 83.200 per cent.

Pikko and Mikala, based in Wellington, Florida, won the five and four-year-old titles in previous years.

In the same classes Friday, Ulla won the five-year-old test on Steinway and Mikala the six-year-old. The only USA rider to win in the young horse classes was Karen Monks-Reilly of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania on Aesthete.
