LEXINGTON, Kentucky, Aug. 7-–Final entries for the 2009 USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship presented by the Dutta Corporation & Performance Sales International and the 2009 Markel/USEF National Young Horse Dressage Championships were announced Friday by the U.S. Equestrian Federation.

The national championships in the four age divisions will be held at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago Aug. 21–23.

Fifteen entries from across the United States were received for the Developing Horse Championship that is in its third year for horses aged seven to nine years competing at the Prix St. Georges level. Four of the horses were bred in the United States, including Caban Boy ridden by Chris Hickey and owned by Hilltop Farm that won the five-year-old title in 2007 and the six-year-old championship last year.

Each of the four, five and six-year-old classes have 15 entries with five of the six-year-olds being U.S.-bred, and seven each in the five and four-year-old classes.
