LEXINGTON, Ky., May 13–The latest rankings for the USEF National Developing and Young Horses have been released.

The 2009 Championships will be held at Dressage at Lamplight in Wayne, Ill. Aug. 21-23.

The National Developing Horse Championships are sponsored by Dutta Corp. and Performance Sales International and is for 7-to-9-year-old horses competing at FEI Prix St. Georges level. The program was created by the USEF to recognize up-and-coming dressage talent for high performance.

Cabana Boy, a Hanoverian gelding by Contucci x Bordeaux, owned by Hilltop Farm of Colora, Md. and ridden by Chris Hickey, topped the Developing Horse rankings with an overall average of 70.405 per cent.

Soubirous, owned by Cadence LLC and ridden by Elizabeth Ball, is ranked second with 69.715 per cent, Brigadier, owned by Deena Smith and ridden by Emily Wagner third with 68.929 per cent was third.
