SAUMUR, France, May 3–Great Britain’s Emma Hindle on her Olympic mount Lancet captured the CDI-3* Grand Prix Special on Sunday, holding Germany’s Matthias Alexander Rath to three wins at Saumur, France.
The British duo scored 71.292 per cent to edge Rath and Triviant into second place with 69.708 per cent and the USA’s Kenneth Dyrby and Rholex in third place on 69.333 per cent. Dyrby, formerly of Wellington, Fla., now lives in England.
In the CDI-3* Grand Prix Freestyle, France’s Remy Issartel and Hilton du Clotobie finished first with 70.70 per cent. Anna Katharina Lüttgen and Zancor of Germany second on 69.500 per cent while Britain’s Hindle on Diamond Hit were third with 69.250 per cent.
Rath, a rising star in Germany at age 25, earlier won the CDIO and CDI Grand Prix and the CDIO Grand Prix Special.
