LEXINGTON, Ky., Apr. 21–A draft schedule has been released of the 2009 North American Junior & Young Rider Dressage Championships scheduled for the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington July 26-30.
Riders from Canada, Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, Bermuda and the United States are invited by their national federations to participate in the championships organized under the rules of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). Citizens of countries outside North America can participate for ribbons, but are not eligible to medals or titles.
Individuals
The dressage championships will be held in the newly built arena with Ottosport sand footing that was built as part of the reconstruction of the Kentucky Horse Park in preparation for next year’s Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
The ground jury conists of Maribel Alonso, ‘O’, of Mexico as president, Axel Steiner ‘O’ of USA, Joan Macartney ‘I’ of Canada, Brenda Minor ‘I’ of Canada and Lois Yukins ‘I’ of USA.
