On the day of rest for the dressage horses, the organization in Las Vegas typically puts on a show. I will let pictures cover the events of the dressage showcase!
We started with freestyles performed by two future stars. Sabine Shut Kerry aboard the 9yo stallion Sanceo performed an intermediate ! freestyle. The stallion was a little spooky coming into the arena but I think started to genuinely enjoy that the 7500 people in the crowd were cheering just for him. This stallion has enjoyed tremendous success at competitions on both the West and East coasts of America.

Next to ride is Steffen Peters on the extraordinary 8yo mare Rosamund. He performed a Grand Prix freestyle using the music and modified choreography of that used for Ravel. “Rosi” already understood that everyone was here for her, and went to work like a seasoned campaigner, and we are left wondering just what will be the limit for this combination

Dressage-News has already done a separate story on the retirement of Wizard…who was definitely behaving as if retirement was the last thing from his mind. It is always wonderful to see an animal still so healthy getting to enjoy the rest of life without stress.

After these events, the afternoon took on a vibe that could only be found in Las Vegas starting with three pas de deux rides.

The first from Shannon Peters, as Poison Ivy, and David Blake as Batman
