LEXINGTON, Kentucky, May 15, 2014–Training grants were awarded to six developing dressage combinations with funding from Akiko Yamazaki’s Red Husky Foundation and the “Prancing with the Stars” Fundraiser.

Recipients, selected on performances in 2014 and plans over the next two years, are:

–Christopher Hickey of Colora, Maryland on Ronaldo, eight-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding owned by Cecelia Stewart;

–Olivia LaGoy-Weltz of Reston, Virginia on her Rassing’s Lonoir, 10-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding;

–Ari Lopez of Pleasant Hill, California on her Corlander II, 13-year-old Rhinlander gelding;

–Jamie Pestana of Livermore, California on her Winzalot, 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding;

–Mackinzie Pooley of Coto de Caza, California on Partous, 17-year-old KWPN gelding owned by Leslie Pooley, and

–Sabine Schut-Kery of Thousand Oaks, California on Sanceo, eight-year-old Hanoverian stallion wned by Alice Womble.
