OSLO, Oct. 12–Edward Gal rode Sisther de Jeu to the highest score for the pair in two years to claim the Grand Prix Freestyle victory at the Oslo Horse Show CDI3* Wednesday, recovering from a fourth place finish in the Grand Prix a day earlier.

The Dutch rider, the only non-Scandinavian in the Grand Prix, and the 12-year-old KWPN mare (Gribaldi x Esther x Amor) scored  79.250 per cent with Norway’s Siril Helljesen who won the Grand Prix on Dorina on Tuesday, placing second on 76.375 per cent with Mikaela Lindh on Skovlunds Mas Guapo in third on 75.225 per cent.

The highest score for Edward and Sisther de Jeu was at Odense, Denmark, in October, 2009 when they posted 80.350 per cent, their only time above the 80 per cent level. Wednesday’s result was also the first victory this year for the pair, who began their Grand Prix career together more than three years ago.
