RIESENBECK, Germany, Sept. 7, 2023–Much of the dressage community is expected to be riveted to mobile phone and computer screens for 28 minutes beginning at 15:57 Central European time/9:57am US Eastern time when Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on TSF Dalera BB, ranked No. 1, and world champion partnership of Charlotte “Lottie” Fry and Glamourdale face off head-to-head for the first time in the European Championships Grand Prix.

Slotted between between the German Olympic champions and Great Britain’s world championships gold medalists will be Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Blue Hors Zepter, ranked second in the world.

Three hours earlier, another trio of top rider and horse combinations will have shown their stuff–Charlotte Dujardin on Imhotep is scheduled for 12:24 CST/6:24am US ET. The rider’s world records from her career with Valegro still stand and Charlotte is an amazing competitor.

Immediately before her at 12:15 CST/6:15am US ET is Carina Cassøe Krüth on Heiline’s Danciera.

Therese Nilshagen on Dante Weltino OLD, that has appeared as fresh and fit as the pair were at the 2017 Europeans–the only duo stretching back that far–go at 12:33 CST/6:33am US ET.
