HERNING, Denmark, June 4, 2023–Nanna Skodborg Merrald and Blue Hors Zepter won the Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to complete a sweep of the Danish Championships.

Nanna and the 15-year-old Oldenburg gelding in the first major competition for the pair since becoming reserve champion at the World Cup Final in Omaha a month ago were awarded 86.850% by the all-Danish ground jury of five judges. The duo won the Grand Prix Saturday on 80.120%.

Carina Cassøe Krüth and her Tokyo Olympic and 2022 World Championship team gold medal partner Heiline’s Danciera were runner-up on 84.850%. Carina and the 12-year-old Danish Warmblood mare placed second on 78.800% in Saturday’s Grand Prix.

Andreas Helgstrand and the nine-year-old KWPN stallion Jovian were third on 83.725%, the same placing as the Grand Prix in which they scored 77.720%.
