TAUPO, New Zealand, Mar. 10, 2023–Melissa Galloway rode Windermere J’Obei W to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday, the first competition for the New Zealand partnership since returning home from a year in Europe that included the world championships.
Melissa and the 12-year-old New Zealand-bred Warmblood scored 72.196% for the victory to pick up at the top of the leaderboard where they were at their last New Zealand event a year ago before going overseas.
Wendi Williamson competed Don Vito MH, also bred in New Zealand, in the debut of the 10-year-old, for runner-up on 71.370%.
Gaylene Lennard on Jax Johnson placed third on 69.935%.
